The Problem

Why healthcare and clinics need a better way to share files

Healthcare data is among the most sensitive there is. But day-to-day, clinics still rely on email, fax replacements and shared drives to move imaging, lab results and reports between practitioners and patients. Note: secureeu.eu is a generic secure file transfer tool, not a certified medical records system. Use it as part of your broader information governance.

Imaging files (DICOM exports, MRI/CT scans) too large for email

Lab results sitting in patient inboxes indefinitely

Patients struggling with hospital portal logins

Sharing material between specialists across organisations

Concerns about where health data is physically stored

Common Documents

Files healthcare and clinics send and receive

Imaging exports (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound)

Lab results and pathology reports

Specialist letters and referrals

Discharge summaries

Vaccination records

Consent forms

Insurance and billing documents

Research data exports

How It Works

Three steps. Totally private.

1

Create a secure link

Drop the file into your browser. It's encrypted with AES-256 on your device before it ever leaves.

2

Send or receive files

Share the link by email, chat or your portal. The recipient clicks and downloads — no signup, no app.

3

Files are protected and expire

Choose an expiry of 1–30 days, optionally add a password and download limit. After expiry the file is permanently deleted.

Trust & Security

We can't read your files. By design.

Browser-side encryption

Files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM in your browser via the WebCrypto API, before they leave your device.

Privacy-first design

The decryption key sits in the URL fragment, which browsers never send to servers. We technically cannot read your files.

No unnecessary accounts

Senders and recipients don't need to create profiles. Adoption across teams and external parties is friction-free.

Expiring links

Choose a retention window of 1–30 days, or revoke any link at any time. Files are permanently deleted on expiry.

EU-hosted, GDPR-conscious

Files are stored on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany / Finland. The platform is designed with GDPR in mind: minimal data collection, short retention, and no transfer of stored files to non-EU regions.
